What to Expect

For Jesus to Be made Much Of

It's Providence’s desire to make much of Jesus not only in our singing, praying, and preaching—but also in how we serve and love one another. It's our hope and prayer that you experience just that when you worship at Providence.

When you visit, you’ll find that our worship service consists of congregational singing, praying, Scripture reading, and a sermon that makes the point of the passage the point of the message. Why do we saturate our worship with God's Word? We sing, say, preach, and pray the Bible in order to point people's attention to the Scriptures so that their affections might be drawn to the Savior.

Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. Prior to our worship service, we meet for adult Sunday school from 9:30-10:15 a.m.

Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School is intended to equip believers with a biblical theology for practical living. This time of Christian education is typically more conversational and interactive.

Children’s Ministry

Your children are welcome to join you in our worship service, or they can participate in PBC's Kids' Ministry. Your kids will join you in the Worship service until just before the sermon. At that point, we excuse the kids for Kids' Ministry, and they're escorted to the Church Gym where they'll be instructed in God's Word using the Christ-centered Gospel Project curriculum. They also have fun playing games and participating in activities. In between the ending of the sermon and just before we continue singing, your children will be escorted back to the Worship Center to sit with you. Kids' Ministry is for kids up to the eighth grade.

What to Wear

We want you to come as you are, so don't worry about what to wear. You'll only see the pastor wear a tie or jacket on special occasions. Some church members wear shorts, a t-shirt, and sandals when the weather's right. Ties and jackets are not necessary. We try not to judge people according to arbitrary external appearances, so feel confident that we'll accept you however you come.

PARKING

We have two parking lots. If you’re coming from Route 7/Lewinsville Road, the Front Lot on your left is adjacent to the Worship Center. Just past the Front Lot on the left is the the Back Lot, which leads to the Church Office and Education Wing. If you plan on attending Adult Sunday School at 9:30 am, we recommend parking in the Back Lot. You can enter through the double doors under the covered Portico. Once you enter, take your first right just past the elevator. The Green Room will be immediately on the right. That's where Adult Sunday School takes place.
