Bible Reading Plan
Tips for your journey...
1. Have a plan. Don't let your good intentions go the way of a typical New Years resolution and wither by February. Have a plan in place before January 1st, so that you are ready and organized come 2017. Below are several different plans that you may find helpful.
Chronological reading plan
Book at a time plan
Discipleship Journal Reading plan
Choose your own path plan
Download the You Version Bible app, which has access to a number of options and community features that allow you to read along with friends.
2. Be flexible. None of us know what is ahead this year. If you find yourself slipping behind, don't beat yourself up. The number one goal of this plan is to understand the whole of God's word better. That won't happen if you are either breezing over text to catch up or sidelined by guilt because you don't think you can catch up. Some of the plans above have actually built in 'grace' days for such occasions. In any case if you end up needing to push your finish date into 2018, you won't find any shame here.
3. Read in community. Having others reading alongside you is not only great for accountability, it also offers us the opportunity to learn from each other. God is going to show you some amazing things as you go through his word. Make to share what you are learning with others and vice versa. Imagine the blessing that will be ours when God multiplies his truth in our lives as we share with each other.
